Sonic and the Black Knight was amazing toward the end of the game.

If Sega could just make the whole game like those levels then it would be phenomenal.

I have to disagree, why? because you just use knuckles(or gaysirlot) and fly over everything and you are done =_=. Black Knight is a disaster in many ways especially on the game play part which is the most important part in any game.

I didn't use Knuckles (or any character besides Sonic) so I have no idea what you're talking about.

As for the gameplay, that video I posted above is a near perfect transition of Sonic from 2D to 3D gameplay-wise.  It was also terrifically fun to play.  The game has problems (boss fights, controls, etc) but toward the end the experience is wonderful.

actually, I'm pretty sure I did better than that on the first time I played through it than that video, I got this really empty feeling in my heart because after 3 and half hours of the jerking motion(my arm was like, red, and I wanted to kill myself,) I didn't feel any satisfaction which is just..... sigh..... but yeah once you have access to all the characters for the real end game, and their weapons don't matter btw, use Sir Gaywin and you can fly through most things, the only lvl where you'd want to use Sonic is the one where you have to ride the golden trail because he's faster. If they can make a better Sonic game with that engine, I'd be happy, for now, I'm still not sold on these new Sonics.

that doesn't really seem like sonic.....wtf is he doing with a sword....where is doctor robotniks robotic minions....:(

And yes i built my computer nicely now ^.^ been playing mass effect.

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

Formula for happiness:

(Sonic Unleashed)/(Me+Pretend Sonic doesn't exist in 3D)= (A number so miniscule that it might as well be zero, which is the answer to anything with a werehog in it existing).

Zero = not existing.

Honest, all I saw was a trailer, and heard of the werehog (actually should be a hogwolf), and decided it would be best I didn't know more. I am now happy with the Sonic series, and NOTHING the designers can do can change that!

The Werehog levels were more like the old Sonic games than the day levels were.

I'm sick of people whining that Sonic needs to run fast. He wasn't that fast on the Genesis, The Genesis games were about a MIXTURE of speed, platforming, puzzles, exploration, power-ups, boss fights, and enemy fighting.

The day levels were pretty fun, but all you really did was run->QTE->run->jump->QTE->run.

There was no platforming. There were no puzzles. It was on-rails, so exploration was limited. The enemies were sparsely placed, the boss fights were underwhelming, and the power-ups were basically non-existent.

The daytime levels of Sonic Unleashed simply weren't what Sonic is about. People who want only speed out of Sonic games should go play Sonic Riders or Rivals.

The Board is the best site on the Internet.

I still have hope that one of the greatest Sonic games ever will be released this gen. Not too much tho.

Did you play the Wii version or the 360/PS3 version? I loved the basics of the design of the Wii version, and I wish the 360 version had it's design in the same way. Eggmanland was awesomesauce in the Wii version.

EDIT: I'm strictly speaking of the daytime levels with this post.

Either you are massively out of shape or you need to learn to move your whole arm and not just your wrist.

As for Knuckles, if he makes things too easy then don't use him.  You can do just fine with Sonic the whole game.

And finally, stop calling Knuckles "gaywin" because it makes you look quite stupid.  Call him Knuckles or learn to spell Gawain.  Even a 5 year old could get at least one of those right.

I liked Sonic unleashed.

Sure, the warehog levels were not top notch, but i didn't mind them too much.

And as long as theres Sonic platforming to be done i will continue to support the Blue Blur and Sega.
