ALSO- do you think that Samus can be in a game without Metroids? Or are the little 3 clawed, jelly fish, life suckers a must for you?

So the game would be called Samus instead of Metroid?

Yep.

Do you think she is more famous than her foes?

Nope. Gotta have Metroids. They can be in the final cutscene or worn as a Bra, but they MUST be in the game!

Ha that would actually be awesome. They could make that the 3rd Person game.

God dammit I want a 3rd person Metroid! ZZS would only be a plus to that. Plus it could be entertaining and people would stop saying it would be just a Sci-Fi Zelda.

Kind of like this?

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

yes cause she's sexy

It can already be done. And her Zero Suit is from Zero Mission, not Brawl. So if they made a game completely around a suitless Samus it would probably be like the ZS parts of ZM,  and be more of a stealth/puzzler since she couldn't kill anything with her stun gun.

On topic, I think it'd be a really interesting idea. It can cover the time between her leaving the marines and her becoming a bounty hunter. Or it could be her last mission with the marines, thereby giving her a different suit (and therefore some level of protection/technology). It'd be like an origin story for Metroid. I'd buy it.

Speaking chronologically which game in all of the Metroid games is the last game of the series? Which is the first?

I'm not completly up on my Metroid timeline, but I believe Zero Mission is the first, with Fusion supposedly being the last. Although strangely, the ship she uses in Corruption is the same one she had in Fusion, and she only got that ship because her old one was destroyed at the beginning of that game. So...maybe Corruption is the last one?

Metroid/Zero Mission is the first and Fusion is the last. The ship she had in Fusion is the ship from Super Metroid, the new one she gets in Fusion is completely new. I don't know what happens to her ship from MP3 because that's the only game it's appeared in so far.

It wouldn't be Metroid without the suit.

I'd buy it if it was a good game... but it wouldn't be Metroid to me.

thanks for the answers.

Thats one reason why I talk about their being no Metroids because they would kick ZS butt. They are annoying enough in full battle gear.

I kind of see it as a game where she loses the suit (like in the 1st 2 primes) and never gets it back until late in the game (like someone suggested above).

Or it could be a game where Samus is in a human/alien city and is seperated from her gear and ship. She is being hunted all over the city. I also think of it as more a living active world too (like any major city on Earth).

That's what I was referring to. I know the ship she had at the start of fusion is the same gunship she had in Super Metroid, and which Smash Bros. trophies say she's had ever since she took up bounty hunting. She also has that same ship in Prime and Echoes. But that's clearly not the same ship she had in Corruption. The ship in Corruption bears a resemblance to the one in Fusion, though, especially in the manner in which it lands.

I know the popular timeline has Fusion being last, with the Prime games taking place before Super Metroid, but the ship is out of place: if she really had that gunship until its destruction, then why isn't she using it in Corruption? Of course, if that's the ship she got in Fusion, how did she get back into the Federation, and what happened to Adam? I'm probably just overthinking an art choice, but the ships don't fit the popular timeline.

Those would be interesting ideas, and while they'd be a departure from the Metroid formula so was Fusion. Plus, if you can have a Zelda game without Zelda, why not have a Metroid game without Metroid?

No. The inability to use the morph ball, space boots, ice missiles, etc. would turn me off to the idea.

Pixel Art can be fun.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
