The Wii got off to a fast start in Japan (where didn't it) but the PS3 is doing better lately. Will FFXIII and GT5 bring victory to the PS3 in Japan? I think so, what about you?

It's going to have to outsell the Wii by more than 500 units a week if it's going to catch the 5 million deficit.
Wake up from fantasy land.
Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:
If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.
If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.
It never ceases to amaze me that people actually consider the PS3 is doing better than the Wii in Japan lately.
OK, technically it's true, it's outselling it (unless you consider the error margins)... but once you consider the minuscule weekly gap and the context of this "victory", it's almost meaningless. Frankly none of the consoles is selling well in Japan.
Now if the PS3 is outselling the Wii (by a fair amount) after the latter gets some good software in Japan (MH3, WSR) and Nintendo is forced to drop the price... then you can say the PS3 is winning. Right now it's just nonsense.

Even then I wouldn't call it "winning" just catching up. But yes, the first sentence you wrote I am in complete agreeance on. It is like a race where one racer has lapped the other twice and now the 2nd runner can see runner 1 behind him and claiming he or she ahead.
