Well, there was the Title Screen Song, the Overworld Song, The Dungeon Song, and the Game Over Song. I can't remember any others, can you?
I think you're right about Koji Kondo. It's the same deal with New Super Mario Bros., the music isn't bad but it doesn't have the charm and lasting abilityi of the older games.
