Very good for sony and the pal region. They deserve it. Hopefully this benefits sony and has whatever impact they were aiming for.

It's not really "hypocrisy," as it's coming from two different sides. Sony's biggest fans were the ones saying Sony needed to do more, including some of what Microsoft (and possibly Nintendo?) were doing.

Now that they are, it's mostly Sony's detractors that are crying foul. Although I suppose those who were happy when Microsoft did it and are now crying foul probably do qualify as hypocrites...

I think it's a brilliant idea. Many people have forgotten or ignored the bit where it says they are launching a huge campaign to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 1st film.

Ghostbusters has a huge following and those who remember it loved it and are dying for a sequel. The game will not only put them in the ghostbusters wotld but also give them the 3rd part to the film!

This is going to make song money from the game as well as the movie!

Remember, there will be a huge launch and those who get to watch the movie again will understand why the film was so special possibly causing a surge in sales.

As fir atari, I read somewhere that phil Harrison is heading atari now. If so, no more need be said. Also, Sony own the rights to ghostbusters. They probably got paid for a release of the game on any console due to atari having to buy the license and i can guarentee more cartoons and merchandise will follow the re-release!

I will be buying both; the game and the film. As a movie buff, I can't wait!

Your Wrong ..Your source is Wrong....It's only In the PAL regions..they said the game will ship first to the PAL regions...and that's it....Meaning it's a Timed Exclusive for the PAL regions..I doubt Atari Would give the publishing rights away for the NA release where the majority of the fan base is

Except it's arguable this is going to help Sony that much it's certainly going to piss off people who were looking to buy one of the other versions of the game, which Sony was still going to get money for. My options now are as Hitler says "to wait until God fucking knows when" or pay 700 dollars to play the game in June, which isn't really much of an option.

The Deal Does Might Delay the American release and if it does it will do so for both the PS3 and the 360..SONY is not Publishing this tittle in the US
