sure, as long as it was done without medication and performed with rusty surgical instruments, then its a great starting point!

Some very valid points there.

Unfortunately she probably will go on to have kids, torture and traumatise them. It's sickening that there are women who desperately want children to love and give them everything but can't have them, while unstable individuals like this vermin get knocked up probably first go.

youre absolutely right, and this is whats probably going to transpire.

it seems you cant go 3 freaking days without hearing someone boiling their baby, killing their family, or tossing a baby on a freeway.

You have to actually assess what she has done wrong here.

I realise that this act is truly an abomination and a maniacal thing to do.

However, the fact remains that she has done wrong, scalded her child, killing her for it would be the definition of a disproportionate action. In addition killing the mother of a child would be a great idea wouldnt it??!?

The best course of action would be to make her pay for what she has done, correct her presumed mental illness and let her get on with her life; there may be a chance that she can do some good in the rest of her life.

Of course I am not saying let her off lighly but death is something that is permanent and is in most part a waste of a life.

I hope some of you realise how brainsick you sound when calling for the death of someone for such a crime.

yea, cause it reallllly sounds like the mothers cares for her daughter right?

i *may* have overreacted a little when calling for her death, however you're no better trying to downplay the horrendous crime this "mother" committed. whose to say this was a one time occurence? either way, i dont see this monster ever doing any good in this world, and i dont think she should be given the chance to live a normal life after this.

This woman is obviously mentally sick to carry out such a despicable act. But don't go over the top in saying things like "kill her" or "Burn her", it's like reading the Daily Mail websites vigilante 'campaign for justice' page here. We all know where that leads in the end.

I'm sure she will get her punishment for ruining her daughters life, but it will be jail time and psychiatric help, which in the end is probably the best solution.

But I really feel for the child, scarred for life, I can't imagine a worse life than seeing your scared face every time you look in the mirror for the next 80 years. It makes me sad to think about it.

I have not down played the crime of this person, note the fact that I called the act an abomination and maniacal, did you over look this?

Though I personally *think* that we should not categorise this act as in the same league as serial rape/murder/debilitating extreme violence.

But hey, this is just me, I have a hate for the word justice and how it can be twisted to cause death on a whimsical/emtional basis.

In relation to this, a good friend of mine used to get beaten by his father in anger, very badly. After a while his father realised his wrong doing and separated himself from his family (in my opinion he should have handed himself over to the police). 6 years passed and my friend searched for his father to contact him and now they are inseparable(as far as father and can son go).

A scenario such as this is a rather uncommon occurance but I think you should always at least try to achieve a happy ending IF it is possible. Though I realise there can not always be a happy ending and things are not always black and white.

Their motivation was that they found the infant’s crying and screaming “funny”, as it reminded them of a famous comedian on Japanese TV whose act involved being made to eat boiling hot noodles.

They hatched their scheme watching the girl spit out hot meat dumplings, it reminding them of the comedian.

...

Give both of the harpies to Rorschach and let him sort them out.

Now that I read this it says the mother is 19 that is a fairly young age to have a child.Have anyone thought that maybe it was an unwanted child?

WTF does that have to do with anything? Who gives a fuck if she "didn't want the child" Doesn't make it any less inhumane in any way, shape or form

See, in this situation, what would be considered "justice" is very hard to come to terms with. I mean sure, as Montana said in an earlier post torturing the woman would just be lowering ourselves to her level, which I completely agree with.

In this scenario though (especially if that was my daughter) I think that I would take one for the team and lower myself to that level and not necessarily kill her, but make her feel the pain that she put that poor baby through.

I am not saying that her actions should be justified. I am trying to find the reason of why did she do it.Since a mother would never do that to their child. That is why maybe if it was an unwanted child the mother did not feel attached to him/her emotionally and hold a grudge against her child. It is just a theory,so calm down.
