Sony is totally wrong to join the Wii boat and do motion sensing as they claimed at their launch they wouldn't be using any gimmicks. They hassled Nintendo enough, only to copy them in the end. The PS3's focus was built much like the 360's in which they are centered on males 13-35. Microsoft has put in a much better effort than Sony to reach the younger demographic and women, but it isn't working like the Wii. Microsoft and Sony need to go back to the drawing board and if they take the concept, make it next gen. My reasoning for this is because they can put their marketing completely behind the next gen systems focusing on everyone as opposed to just males for once; acknowledging this, people will buy the system at competitive pricing.

Actaully I tend to agree with STAGE of this. PS360 is already have it's target. Trying open the doors to a new audience by motion control will only damage and fragment the current users. It's classic disruption actions. If either of these companies want to reach out to the new gamer they should wait until next generation. In the mean focus on making as much money with the old audience as possible by providing top qaulity games.
Another and tactic that will NEVER happen. Sony and MS should produce older games for the Wii in preperation for the next generation. I know it sounds insane, but hear this. Release games like Halo 1 & 2 maybe 3 or KZ1m LBP for the Wii with Wii remote focus. This is to build a game fanbase on an opponents system, come next generation quickly make sure than Halo 4, KZ 3, LBP2 is relased soley for their own machine with motion support. This way your potentially hijacking gamers and streaming them to your own console.
