So, saying that it's not AAA is bashing the game?  How many titles that OPM UK gave a 9 are AAA?  Sounds like someone's grasping at straws here.

Well, this clearly disputes the claims being thrown around that infamous would be AAA. 

 

 

I don't think that everyone is saying that inFamous is destined for AAA, it was just a thread asking which new IP will be the next to recieve AAA status and inFamous was the only one on it's way that looks to have a chance. No need to start attacking the game.

85+ score in my opinion = AAA. The whole 90+ thing is stupid, and if we really want to get to bashing based on some scores... how many 85+ titles has MS 1st party given us so far in 2009?

OPM UK is actually one of the better "official console" reviewers out there, they don't hand out 10's willy nilly.

But this really is a lose/lose. If InFamous gets a 10/10, the review is just biased hyping by the magazine. Anything lower then a 10 and the game must not be that good if the magazine won't give it a perfect score.

As for sales, I'll use a line that others have in the past...I don't play sales.

Anything 'Official' is suspect. And that's all I have to say about that.

Uhm. You mean you think 85+ should be considered AAA. Because the definition doesn't change just because you want it to.

But before you suggest the change, consider this:
AAA = 90+
AA = 85+
A = 80+

Doesn't this make a whole lot of sense? To have different degree's of awesomeness according to reviewers on games. By lowering the threshold for making AAA, those three letters would mean less. Instead, use the lesser titles, AA and A games. They don't make as huge an impression (simply because they are worth less), but they are still useable. Kinda.

It's not like a game is either AAA or useless.
