Don't know if this was already posted. Sorry in advance just in case lol.

Great game and beautiful art style. Was plauged by illegal downloads and inability to run smoothly on older PC rigs. Hopes to make success on the gaming console market. I hope they really do.

Apparently, Call of Pripyat isn't the only thing GSC Game World has baking in its oven. Russian games magazine Igromani, which recently blew the lid off on S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat via a feature article, has reportedly revealed that there's also a console port of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in the works.

The piece didn't elaborate on which particular S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game is being cleaned up for a console release, but it's most likely Shadow of Chernobyl. Target platforms weren't mentioned either, but most likely it's for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

In terms of the current life expectancy of news in the Internet age, this is old. However, I'm a big S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fanboy and I know several people who have been clamoring for GSC Game World to bring the series to consoles, so there. I am officially stoked. Typing that title out is still so annoying though.

Isn't this game supposed to be similiar to FEAR? Basically survival horror mixed with first person shooter?

Except the way the game operates is extremely console unfriendly. They would have to change the combat pretty extensively because analogue sticks don't have the resolution and consoles don't have the draw distance to support the long range engagements. Though that may actually be a good thing as I hate squinting at pixels to aim, which put me right off Farcry 2.

Woops, forgot to mention Onxymeth its a survival type open world FPS with some RPG elements mixed in. Its kind of like a more pure shooter version of Fallout 3 with a more FPS focus and a LOT more hardcore.

lol I love LoD but once I get my new computer this summer hopefully then it could change. Been meaning to change my sig for a while. I don't want to give off the vibe that I'm just a PS3 fanboy anymore. Since I support the 360 and PC as well but right now all I have is my PS3.

If there is any extra stuff for the console port of the game announced then I will pic it up later then. I would happily change my sig then.

Your an alright guy though contrary to what others say. I love some of your post... they are classic and funny.

Just having a PS3 type signature doesn't make one a PS3 fanboy. Consider Makingmusic476, everyone thinks hes just a PS3 fan mod but when he logs onto steam he just cannot help but rave about the Xbox 360 and its exclusives. Also look at Outlawauron! On Killzone 2 multi-player all he could do was rave about how much better it would be on Live! Jk jk...

Anyway if you're building a new PC take note of these two things:

Directx 11 and cards are being released towards the end of the year along with the usual performance enhancements.

Windows 7 is rumoured to be releasing towards the end of the year as well.

Oh and thanks for the compliment.

Thanks for that advice. It has been a while since I built my last PC about 3-4 years ago lol.

The first stalker sold pretty well on the pc actually.

I hope if they do port it, thats its a high class port.
