Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Something Sacred this way comes?

Yeah, it was announce for 360 but when that was delayed they mysteriously reveal that PS3 version was also in the work and that according to them it's going be just as good despite the late development cycle.

I'd advice against buying this game. I have it and played it on PC and it's somewhere beetween bad and average.

Basically you feel like you are playing MMO without Massive Multiplayer part and quests tend to be "go kill 10 goblins and bring me item x" "travel to point A and give item Y to person C".

The only saving grace it has are some nerd rpg jokes like your character screaming "I need more exp" and tons more (most are typical german comedy level of humour).

Oh yeah and if you guys still want to buy it give them at least a week or two for other people to bug test it :D

edit: altrough the controls should be fairly console friendly unlike diablo.

@Zlejedi

That's typical hack&slash loot-whoring dunegon crawl type of games. It's all about getting loot and not the story.

Anyway, there are more positive review from blooger up on the web. They said the game overall is fun if you like this type of games. There are some issue with slow down and less than stellar graphics (which I don't know why people always compare $199 games on 360 with PC gaming rig where the graphic alone you could buy a console).

The publisher claim that the early final review code they send to IGN for review have error during the duplication process which cause the game to be unstable. They assures that the final boxed version should not have game ending bug that the reviewer experience.

I should have the game tomorrow and will post some initial impression. In the mean times you guys in the US need to pick up Raiden Fighter Aces!!

Support diversity gaming on Xbox 360!! We don't need another Velvel Assasin on the 360!

I was perusing the release lists for the month when a particular game caught my eye. The often delayed Sacred 2 is being released on the twelfth of this month. I was mildly interested with the game last year, and I decided to give it another look over, and was pleasantly surprised to see that the game will support four players online. I have not found any reviews for the game yet, but I am hopeful that it might be a good game. Especially since the last few games I have played have neither given me the open world I crave or the online experience I have felt was lacking.

So I was curious if anyone here was seriously looking at this game, or more importantly was looking at this game as an online experience. I am honestly not too keen on the camera angles provided, but the online aspect would probably make up for that. Granted that the game reviews well. Am I mistaken in this being the first role playing game on the console that lets you play with more then one person. Just testing the waters to see if anyone else here was interested in playing this with fellow members online.

I'll probably get it due to the co-op it should have.

Why is this in microsoft discussion btw ? just noticed. It's also on the ps3.

That's where i'm getting it anyways :p

"omg this thread is proof that the 360 fanboys are hyping Sacred like its the next coming of Halo!!

You'll see when this game only gets 80's on metacritic!! you'll see!!!"

Did you even watch the video. It's a multiplat game. He even said "coming to the xbox 360 and the playstation 3 later this month"

Are you that bored ?

Yeah, I have it on pre-order. My copy is available for pickup tomorrow, which will get it at least a little play -- tomorrow night is my L4D night. I plan on using the online feature, as my old Sacred gaming group is planning on picking this up. I am not sure how well it will go but the last version was hardly bug free on multiplayer, Wood Elf in the previous instance of this game got a lot of us killed with too many projectiles for a lot of our machines to keep up with. I am not too worried about the reviews as the previous one also got pretty mediocre reviews but it was a great game.

What the fuck? are you just screaming bullishit for the sake of it?

It's a PC/PS3/360 game.

Once it hits $30 I'll pick it up.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

Don't listen to reviews, if you like this kind of game Sacred 2 is awesome! Probably my favorite console dungeon crawler to date so far.

Of course I haven't played but about 4 or 5 hours and I don't know if the game save killing bug is present or not.
