Square was one of the best developers back in the PS1 generation and then at the starting of the PS2 generation but since their merger with Enix,they have changed.Their games don't seem to contain that magic they had earlier.The Final Fantasy series has also gone down after the merger.It didn't help the game industry alot.

Looking at it,they haven't made a huge hit after the merger.By huge hit I mean the hit of FFVII AND FFX.They have just become very greedy and trying to do things that are not meant for them.They are constantly trying to penetrate western world again and again but the thing is that the western people liked their stuff earlier and now when they are trying to please the westerns,nobody seems to like them much.I know they are still a very big developers but they  are just not the same.And I don't think so by their current work and intentions that they will ever again gain the FFVII success again

I pretty much agree with what you said.

This should be on Gaming section, rather than Sony, as it makes it look like another "f*cking $E got bought out by M$"

But, I do think they're acting illogically both business-wise and artistically.

I DON'T think you're are a fanboy. Just saying, that a lot of people'll assume that you are.

Also when enix and square wasnt merged they were rivals. So they were more competitve. Meaning better games for you and me

people assume alot of things.Solid Snake's pic just mean that i love one of the gaming franchises in the world and a legendary character

Yeah, they went downhill ever since they merged with Enix! SquareSoft were producing high quality games non-stop in their prime.
Hopefully, Final Fantasy XIII will proves us wrong.
