Fooflexible, I'm afraid I have nothing to contribute, as I am still in awe of that detailed and researched post. You're my new nintendo expert.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Ugh, kwaad always being so pesimistic. Grow up.

I have something minor to add, I believe that it's been confirmed that Metroid Prime 3 will be the last one in the series, at lease from Retro, they want to work on some other titles, but it hasn't been stated what yet.

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

Stof: thanks! nintendo_fanboy : yes, I think if Camelot puts a Golden Sun game on the Wii it will be huge, Golden Sun sold well on the GBA, the 2 titles solds a total of 2.8 million worldwide, but they actually sold much better in America then Japan, oddly enough. Plus I don't think Camelot ever made a bad game. Also yes they did make Mario Golf for some reason I though it only came out on the GBA. I'll fix that thanks! happysquirrel: Your right, I think one of the greatest things Nintendo did last generation is loan out its franchises to some of the big 3rd parties, to keep them developing on their platform while freeing up their own studios for fresh IPs. I think it will continue but we're yet to see what they'll conitnue this with. Mario Party 9 Will most likely come, but will it in'08? Maybe. I do thing there is a strong possibility the secret game is Kid Icarus. But we'll have to wait and see.(that's pure speculation btw, I have no evidence of that.) Kwaad: you may not have loved Wii sports and such, but I'm hoping if they have sequels to these titles expect them to have improved greatly, with some more depth making them much more suitable games. And regardless of many hardcore gamers opinion these titles are huge winners, they may end up giving mario a run for him money, and they seem to be the cheapest games Nintendo can make. So if there in 2008, Nintendo will be swimming in money.

vanguardian1: Thanks for that. I'm glad to hear it, because I'm a little tired of the franchise. Although I'd like to see what they do with it on the Wii. Hopefully it sets a solid standard for fps titles. Prior to Metroid Retro was working on 4 games, Raven Blade and action rpg, a NFL Retro Fooball, a destruction derby style game called thunder rally, and an action shooter(this is the game Metroid overtook). Alot of people say Raven Blade was the furthest along, and looked great, infact there is some sweet video of what it looked like, and alot of dedicated people are still out there longing for this game to be made. So Retro may dig it out from the grave. We'll see. It would be smart though it could be Nintendo's answer to the other consoles titles like: Heavenly sword, mass effect, Fable 2, and such, it seems to fit into the genre(And just so no one gives me a smart answer I'm not saying Raven Blade looks as good as those titles, it just has alot of potential for the Wii, especially if they add some great sword mechanics, and since so many people want a light saber game, I really hope retro makes this). here's a video of it: Raven Blade on Youtube

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

fooflexible - you tend to think I think Wii Sports was a horrible game. No I loved it. Too simple for my tastes tho. But still it was a REALLY fun game... Especially if your 60+ or under 10. (i'm sorry, my dad is 55, and loves things like Supreme Commander... And no he hates WC3. He likes games that last hours... and hours... and hours... and hours... that make you think. I however, unlike you. Dont think Wii Sports2 will add complexity/depth to the games. I think the Wiimote was tapped in the original. We shall see if nintendo put all their tricks in the bag already or not over time. Hopefully... prove me wrong nintendo.

I fly this flag in victory!

A second Wii sports game would most likely have online, more sports and a stronger fitness component. It will sell millions, cure the common cold and blow up the death star.

Well, i just came home, and i was at a friends house with my Wii cause she wanted to try it. We were 4 people and only 1 of them plays games, me (we are 18), we played Wii Sports for about 2 hours, Zelda, WarioWare and then Red Steel. Tomorrow all 3 of them are getting a Wii. I mean that all of them were mostly excited with Wii Sports, and we're not 10- and certainly not 60+.

That was a get start Fooflexible I can't think of anything to add but I do have a request you think you could do a part 2 to this with 3rd party Wii support?
