The OP is very much relevant to today. People still love to point out that the PS3 is behind the two others without entering in the variables. 360 got a rather large head start, and the Wii is dirt cheap compared to HD and has appealed to a new market. The PS3 is doing fine relatively to those facts, yet the Wii is the true cinderella story this gen so far. PS3 might pull one, but much later in this gen. |
If you pick when you choose to start running, and you lose, you can't say "Well, we happened to start later, so RELATIVELY speaking, we actually won". The fact the Wii is doing what it is doing, make the PS3 not look like it is in great shape. It is Sony's fault they waited as long as they did, and released a system at the price point they did.
Using the logic here of when things were launch, the PS3 is CREAMING the 360 in sales NOW, compared to 2003. It isn't even close either! The PS3 NOW is outselling the 360 in 2003!
