Hi, i'm a bit new to this game (I'm only starting 2-1 with both Phalanx, Tower Knight and Red Dragon defeated) and i'm a bit confused about the world tendency system. When I put up the WT screen, it shows as boletaria being white, yet the door to the Executioner isn't opening. Are there degrees of white tendency?

there are 5-6 levels of tendency.

PURE BLACK (you cant see much details, because it looks rotten)

much black (The Stone lost all shining, and is really dark)

towards Black (he has a green/dark touch) (neutral?)

towards white (the stone is starting to shine)

much White (the stone shines much, beginners think they have pure White, because it looks like)

PURE WHITE (The stones are shining so much, that they are almost yellow/white.)

(the most events require "much white/black", but the gate you mentioned is one of the few events, who are only possible with Pure White/Black.

but you have 3 Bosses down, i wounldnt bother with that stuff yet. )

I saw some shifts towards white in 1-1 yesterday, after I beat armored spider, don't know why that was. Oh, is there a way to defeat the pesky Bugbears on 2-2? I can only do 10-20 damage on them xD

in 2-2 is a good weapon, and yes, you can defeat them. (by hitting til they're dead :/..ind if you killed a big one... run as fast as you can :D *BOOM*)

the weapon is in this labirinth-like section in 2-2, were the big ones are. (NOT in the fireplace. dont try it. ^^ the weapon's called Dragon Long Sword +1, the sword should hit them with 40-60 damage, and will be a damn good friend to you the next levels)

@tendency:

normally its not possible to get tendency shifts for levels when you kill Bosses in other areas. :o

(notice: the tendency changes only if you re-enter the nexus./

/ when playing online, tendencies of all areas will go back to smallest black/neutral from time to time. <- so if you had black in 1-1, thats it. if you had a white tendency, and it shited further to white in 1-x, i dont have any idea why. :/ )

Magic, or a magic weapon like the Crescent Falchion (wich you can find next to the first dual katana skeleton in 4-1)

Finally started another playthrough since I have nothing to review. Unfortunate that the save file from the review copy doesn't work on the retail version. Should be alot easier to get help now that far more people are playing it though, maybe I'll hit up my fellow Biochem peer for some help at some point ^^ (that's you Lestatdark, just in case I wasn't obvious)
