Follow my advice on this one. DO NOT buy a 360, untill Zephyr comes out. The Core is likely gonna drop to 300$. And if you have a HDTV... HDMI is worth the extra 100$ I think. Seriously tho. If you wait 3 months, You can probabilistically get what their selling for 400$ today, for 300$. I'm waiting till this fall/winter, and gonna buy one then.

Wait isn't the core 299.99? and the "premium" 399.99? Do you mean the premium system will be 299.99?

Err... Yeah that's what I meant... heh...

Exactly. That's why I'm holding off getting a 360. I'm not paying more than $300 for the premium. Also I'm waiting until they fix their reliability issues. Hopefully with the Rev 2, 65nm die, they will address whatever issues cause so many 360's to fail. There are a lot of great games for the 360 already, and more coming, but the failure rate is completely unacceptable. (to me)

2004 Lincoln LSV8 - ~$15,000

K&N Cold Air Intake - $300

Handheld ECU Reprogrammer - $400

Now is a good time to be selling your used 360 off (especially if it's a old one) And buying a new one for 300-400$ if you want premium, or Zephyer. (with a 1year warranty) in a few months. EDIT: They also fixed those reliability issues. If you do get one tho, get one from best buy or something, and get the extended warranty. Then just swap it for a new one. The Microsoft fix-it-shop. Sends you a refurb... you don't want that.

Zephyer what? And HDMI? I thought Xbox360 didn't have one when did this happen? I've heard no news on any of this stuff actually.

Zephyer is the code name for the new 360, that is suspected to have a 120gb HDD, and HDMI port. Everyone is guessing it will cost 400$ Thus people are expecting the premium to drop to 300$ and take the place of the Core. It has been confirmed by microsoft they can not comment on it's existance. They would deny it if it wasnt real. Everyone is expecting it this summer... So expect a better 360 this summer.

Just do a google search on any of the 360 RPGs I've mentioned in this thread, or the other I posted - there are quite a bit. IMO, I'd wait a little while to buy a 360. June/July should be the best time, as we should have a price drop near then + Blue Dragon will hit the US (awesome US & Japaneese voice selections, yay). Supposedly, the major gaming stores are getting the new 120gb 360s in May at $480. Kinda high, but I assume they'll drop the price in June or so. So again, if you want a 360, wait. Summer should see about 2-3 JRPGs hit the 360 (Culdicept Saga, BD, maybe another one or two + Circle of Doom in August I believe). So even a core 360 should cost around $200 by then. Enchant Arms is a bargian-basement game now, and Oblivion + Shivering Isles should be cheaper by then.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I never heard about stores getting it. That's great news. Especially if they do a price drop in the near future... If they dont... That's too high, and their gonna hurt their own sales against the PS3. If both consoles are within 20$. I personally would pay 20$ for the ability to play Blu-Ray... even if I didnt have a HDTV yet.

My two cents...about all its really worth. Don't buy either. If you really want to play jRPG's more than others just wait. Wii will keep selling like ice cream in hell and similar to how the DS will get the next big DQ game, so shall the Wii for FFIX and so on. Though I have to say Blue Dragon does look nice. I like. But, I would follow Kwaad's, yes I said Kwaad's, advice and wait until after summer if you really want to play Blue Dragon and maybe the one or two other jRPG type games 360 gets in its lifetime. It will drop in price in June/July. Summary, just buy Wii games. By end of this year the momentum of Wii will be rolling like a snowball down a mountain and just growing and growing with 3rd party support.
