MHG not the beast some people expected??? Knew it!!

Still very good sales though.

What did you expect, its a port of a very succesful PS2 game, not a new, exclusive game. The demo and most of all the special controller both did the trick.

This game is most likely the best selling Wii game in Japan in 2009 thusfar. If that ain't good I don't know what it is.

I don't think that just by including a demo of a highly awaited game so many people will buy a pay-2-play game for the second/third time, and not on the most successful platform of the franchise too (local multiplayer, etc). obviously, if it really bombed then I think it'd be worrying, but it's certainly not the case.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

MHG doesn't do bad, but doesn't impresses. It fell within expectations for me.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,

Not bad for MHG a port of a port of a old PS2 game

BTW isn't that over half of the shipped numbers?.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

MHG did great first day numbers. Ignore the whining Sony fans - 92k first day is a great performance.

Killzone 2 did solid first day numbers too.

But I thought the Wii was DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED in Japan. I don't know whats funnier, the people that thought the was done. Or the people trying to argue that a trice ported game should sell as much as a new one.

Good numbers for MH G and really surprised by Killzone 2 great first day.

I can't decide either. It's a pretty balanced contest.

I think it is only two people, one isn't really site regular anymore, and the other likes to rant these days  (I like the rants :P), so what does it matter. In the end, I say this did really well, might go to 130k or 150k first week. Killzone 2 had a good openning for a FPS game, but I need to look at first week before I can say "nice" or "great".

When is Monster Hunter 3 coming out for the Wii?

I guess 100k is decent if it's a port of the PSP game.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
