Forums - Sales Discussion - Is there any way to get monthly data?

I would really like to be able to see monthly data in a table format for a range specified.  I keep seeing people posting that the PS3 has outsold the 360 on monthly basis -- worldwide -- since launch (with the exception being August).  From pulling some weekly data, I don't see this as accurate but there is no way to pull the historical data easily (or at least that I can see).

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

Second this, monthly was good.

align launches on the graph, shows you enough.

the difference is really..nothing, so don't even bother calculating it

I just add th weekly data as it comes. I have a spread sheet that begins from October of 2006 and is forecasted through Jan 2009.

Though it would be nice for ioi to add a monthly switch. Really shouldn't be that hard. But, the virus and hacker issue is much more important.

That's my whole point... I know I can get weekly data, enter it into a spreadsheet or look up The Source's posts, but all the data is there -- why not let me look at it using the "compare consoles" function without "guessing"?  I know you can look at the graph, but it isn't exactly what I'm looking for.   Table formats are great, too, because you can grab the data and manipulate it 90 ways to sunday.

Not to highjack your thread, but I would absolutely love to see the ability to export the weekly #s into a spreadsheet. But I am not sure if ioi wants to do that since the idea is to bring traffic to the site to pay for the bandwidth we use lol.

Anyways, the reason I mention that here is because it would make it very easy to set up a spreadsheet to what you are looking for once the data is exported.  And you can manipulate it in a lot more ways and make a lot more graphs etc....

PS - If you had any specific months in mind let me know I have a spreadsheet I keep with weekly, monthly, yearly, and lifetime breakdowns of the 3 major regions
