I think its not overrated, but then again i haven't played it in such a long time. I should go back to see if it can stand the test of time (no pun intended). Another good test is letting someone else, whos never heard of Chrono Trigger play it.

Funny thing is, I recommended it to one of my friends , who is a rpg fanatic, not too long ago; And when he picked it up for the DS, he said it was lacking in several areas. I then proceeded to kicked him in the balls...vigorously

What even makes you ask this? Who said it was overrated and what reasons do they give?

Remember, this game came out in 1995 and most everything it did was pretty revolutionary.

You can ask, I just figure there's a reason behind asking or else why would you even bother?
