I believe its purpose is to write quick messages to each other that you don't mind others seeing.

I think the purpose of the wall is for people to chat back in forth with each other on their own profile instead of doing that in a thread. I think some people post on your wall because maybe the message is probably only directed to them.

Its a means to troll, flame and violate all forum rules without getting banned.

The purpose of the "Wall" is to allow one vgChartz user to leave a public message for another vgChartz user.

I never see many people on the IM, but I'm not on it very much. It's basically a place to chat about anything and have quick and fast conversations with others. It's a great place to get to know people better.
