Yea, it's huge. It's just that I thought they'd have another franchise above KH... even though I couldn't think of anything.

Well, Star Ocean is probably not too far away from Kingdom Hearts. Apart from that, they don't really have franchises, but a couple of games that only got one sequel and disappeared afterwards, like the Chrono series.

Oh, and the Mana (or Seiken Densetsu) series is also notable.

 GTA must be around 80 millions as of now. Zelda should be near 70 millions as well.

KH with 12m is incredibly impressive considering there have only been 2 proper console games (and final mix bla bla bla) and probably an indication that the numbers are a little low, I would say mainly for KH 2 in EU

Anyway, the FF figure isn't actually that great given the number of games that have been released, no FF has sold more than 10m copies, hopefully XIII will be able to achieve that feat as a MP game (very unlikely though)

Well, Final Fantasy VII has sold over 9.8 million copies worldwide as of December 2005, i'm still looking for 2009 numbers...

since FFVII is available on PSN in Japan, they will get higher in the future.
