Thank you Valve for an amazing DLC, for three reasons:

1. It's free.  It's all stuff that's similar to a bunch of games DLC, except it's free.

2. New mode Survival is very cool.  New map and new poster for intro which is cooler than I expected to be honest.  And it's fun going for higher and higher times.  It actually has leaderboards, so finally an L4D mode to compete with your friends list in!

3. New maps truly add a lot to the versus.  It's like learning it all over again, espescially as infected.

only bad part is no more achievements, which I hate being an achievement whore, but still free is free.  Anyone else try it out yet?

Played several hours of survival mode. I happen to really love that. The new Lighthouse map is well made and hopefully a good sign for future campaigns coming out as DLC. I think it is a good product for being free. I made bronze but it is dang hard so it will be awhile before I get silver.

im on bronze as well, its pretty rough.

i wonder if you last past gold if there is an end to it?

just so depressing seeing tank after tank. :P. 

i generally stay up the lighthouse, in the second highest part you can reach.  i bet the trick is to go somewhere low that you'd never think.

 I have tried the top and the bottom.  Did pretty well on the lighthouse, one pair on the top level and one pair on the mid level.  I found the hardest part up there is just about any tank or smoker hit is lethal, as you fly or fall to your death.  My best time is actually in the back room on the lower house but by the end we were outside near the front door so I think that was as much luck as anything else.  With the number of rooms that have breakable walls it is hard to find a good spot to hold out on.  I have yet to try anything away from the building but that will have to wait for later.

best time on lighthouse so far is 5.40. Its great fun, so hectic... i love it

I also really love the new versus maps, they will keep me goin for a while

Didn't even realize that the DLC was out yet... Reinstalling L4D, gotta play later on today!

no achievements on the Xbox version? does it have to do with it being free? I ask because there are new ones in the PC one

the new mode is tough, yesterday I was playing with some random dudes and the difficulty was Survival (don't know if it's easy or hard), and we couldn't get bronze in the rooftop level. then we changed to the lighthouse (perfect level IMO) and we managed to survive one time past four minutes, and we were not organized at all. these two maps are also perfect for tanks - I died three times because a tank sent me falling to my death haha and it was awesome

The new survival mode is fun, picked up gold on a handful of levels, but some of them are pretty rough.
