Its interesting that the HD system that has a piracy issue is selling that much software. Good job MS! They seem to have captured the desired demographic.

Tie Ratios don't tell us everything, though. I've put together a better analysis using VG Chartz's numbers here.  My method tells us a lot more about the market dynamics than Tie Ratio does.

The Wii's tie ratio does not include Wii Sports, which is packaged with the system, so one might very well consider Wii owners as having more software on average than the numbers show.

as a developer all i care about is graph 3, total software sold



When you take into account that the number of Wii’s sold per month is roughly 2x the PS3 and 1.5x the 360 each, that means that the Wii is selling software at an incredible rate compared to it’s competitors.

Of course that could be shovel ware. V_V
