Stereotyping fails.  I honestly thought VGChartz was beyond this.  No, most parents are not that obsessive/idiotic.  I know, for one, my parents don't think video games make killers, and I've yet to meet one with any strong conviction in that regard.  Things that are irregular will be focused on more than the normal and will thus appear to be more influential than they actually are.

Seriously, I have lived in the US Ben. I have met a looot of different people that came from different backgrounds. No, i have been living in europe for almost a decade. Sure that there are living-human abominations in every country. But as far as i'm concerned, it's the americans that seem to be very messed up.

And let me tell you, i think that my nation is even more of a mental institution. How else can you define a country in which almost half of the people yearn for the return of comunism?

Seriously, if you live in a big city or college town, you can go your whole life with normal human beings...it's not that hard...some places in America really are nice. I still want to vacation in the West sometime. I'd like to visit Europe sometime...but there's so much land in my own country I've never seen.

What is with the American hate Don Wii? I suppose we should bring out all the charts that have Americans at the lowest eductaion levels in the world. The fact that we only speak one language. The fact that we eat too much fast food everyday. The fact that the United States is the home of California, which is, in turn, the home of Hollywood, and therefore ground zero for Brintney Spears, Paris Hilton, and all the other White Collar Trailer Trash that so many love to learn about on their internets. There's also the fact that we lack any real culture since all of us are transplanted from foreign motherlands. Trust me, it isn't easy being an American and knowing that the rest of the world thinks they know you. Ask zee germans, or a Muslim.

Last i read about it, it turned out that something like an ultra volcano is building up under the damn place :P. That would be why the ecosystem is getting screwed up there, average river/lake tempature has risen by 3 degrees celsius over the last 10 years, all the fish are dying because of it..... but that was in an article from about 4 years ago. Maybe it got better overtime :D.

I don't really care where I visit in the West, perhaps the Grand Canyon, or just a good place to camp I guess...I'm sure Yellowstone's still good for camping too hehe.

 I thought big cities were home to more of the weird people.  Meh.  About not seeing the country, I've never been out of the South (heh).

@Wojtas: I was referring more to everything you said in the thread, not just that post.  I think it's ironic that we're supposed to be some war obssessed country who go on random killing sprees, (see Rush Hour 3, lawlz) but also have super obsessive parents who are so afraid of violence that they condemn things like the Wii Zapper.  Doesn't it sound a bit... contradictory?
