Forums - Gaming Discussion - Have you ever played a black sheep of a gaming franchise.

Well I had a huge list but the OP basically says the game had to suck so that cuts mine down quite a bit.

Lunar Dragon Song: After waiting so long for a new Lunar game this is what I got. You lost hit points when you dashed, crappy battle system, poor presentation, WTF.

Grandia Xtreme: The battle system was great but the game was just a big dungeon crawl. Kind of like a more modern Shinin in the Darkess.

Street Fighter EX series: Crappy 3D Street Fighter games.

Mortal Kombat 3: No Scorpion and 1-800-Dial a combo combat system. Poorly animated fatalites. Just all out blech

Sonic 3D Blast: Its was terrible but it wasn't exactly great either.

Sonic the Hedgehog (PS3/360): I only played the demo but it was god awful.

Final Fantasy X-2: Great gameply couldn't save this stinker. I hadn't been this disappointed in a Final Fantasy game since VII.

Perfect Dark Zero: It wasn't a bad game really. But it just felt dated. The gameply didn't advance all that much. I didn't like Joanna's new character design. The single player story line was weak and the online play made it a bit more enjoyable but the lack of a jump button was really annoying.

Around the Network

Carmageddon TDR2000

Perfect Dark Zero

Starfox Adventures

All big let downs from franchises which had huge potential, and hopefully will do again.

"Carmageddon II: Carpocalypse Now" is such a great game but its sequel TDR200 was so lame I..... I cant find the words, sorry.

Monkey Island 4 - screwed up my favorite adventure series
