Forums - Gaming Discussion - Have you ever played a black sheep of a gaming franchise.

All this Zelda 2 talk got me really pumped up for that game. I'd actually decided to go out and get a Wii tomorrow just so I could play it on VC. Fortunately I stoped by their website to check and it turns out it isn't available yet! Now I'm all pissed off. I really REALLY want to play that game right now!

EDIT: Sweet Merciful Crap it is there! Hold on Wii, I'm com'n for ya!

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Perfect Dark Zero. One of the worst games to come from a (formerly) respected company that I have ever played.

-and I disagree with Parokki's statement.  X-Com 2 only rocks slightly less than #1.

Perfect Dark Zero was so overhyped by everyone, even reviews....

Totally crap game that is not worth buying now for any 360 owner, but back then it was a 'huge' launch title...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Don't know why you guys keep knocking Mario Sunshine. It's the best 3d Mario game of all-time.

For me:

New! Super Mario Bros. -the game was an average platformer at best.

Capcom Fighting Evolution. -Any 2d fighting game fan knows what was wrong with this game.

Well if all my Zelda 2 hate got you to buy a Wii then at least it was good for something, if you like that kind of gameplay I guess all I can say is...... enjoy your crappy gameplay...... sorry I just can´t help myself, Zelda 2 broke my heart when I was a kid, I enjoyed Zelda 1 so much I got the second one right away, that game did nothing for me with the stupid little shield, the jumping around the way enemys bounce off you when you hit them.....the music..... thank god Link to the past made up for it all.

BTW, while we are talking about bad games we played anyway, anybody here ever get a chance to play...... Astro Chicken or Ms. Astro Chicken??? If you can play those games (with sound on and max. vol) for more than a hour you are really f**kin hardcore, I hear that game is now used in guantanamo eventhough its against every law in the galaxy.

P.S. If Zelda 2 if a system seller then there is no force in the world that can stop the Wii :)

Shadow the Hedgehog.

I still have to get the last two A rankings and find some keys. What a great game, if I could go back to the day when I bought it, I wouldn't buy this game again.

oh god yes, that made me vow to never touch another sonic game, it was truly painful! EDIT: hey look rol, we agree on something =) i must not remember devil may cry 2 clearly, it was the first one i played and it made me go back and play 1... hmm, strange... and ultima online destroyed the series.

worms 3d? man that game sucked...

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

Super Mario 2: Meh...
Super Mario Sunshine: Bleh!
FF X-2: It ruined FFX's ending imo.
Zelda 2: I wasn't able to finish it cause I didn't like it.
Final Fantasy VIII: I liked the story but horrible/frustrating gameplay!
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: It had good battles, rest is bad imo.

I can't believe how many people mention Zelda 2. I loved that game!

Zelda 2:  Link's Adventure - Played for a long while but it never came close to as much fun as the original.  Luckily Link to the Past would come later to make everything better.

Kirby 64 - Anyone who played the astounding Kirby Superstar (SNES) can probably attest to the disappointment in this title.  The block-dropping mini-game was almost more fun than the actual game.

Mortal Kombat 4 - 'nuff said.

Sword of Mana - So close to being good but stagnated by its own design (50+ miniquests and a half-arsed story is not a replacement for a real plot line/story).
