Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Hiveminded "critics"who claim Madworld would be better on PS3/360 are wrong

The extra processing power in the ps3 and 360 is useless in an arcadish game like madworld.

The high definition is useless in a game like madworld.

The blu-ray is useless.

But the wiimote and nun-chuk are useful. case closed.

What makes the wiimote + nunchuk any more useful than the Dualshock 3 for Madworld? Holding one in each hand?

DS3 has motion sensing and Madworld does not use the IR pointer.

To be honest, in this game the Wii has zero advantage.

From what I see on PS3 it would look better and play the same.

How about chainsawing people and chucking them in the mini games like man darts. And using golf clubs to aim people's heads.

And throwing people.  And using weapons on motocycles.

it obviously was not designed for either a gamepad or a keyboard. It would still run, but to me it is obvious that the experience would not have the same feel without the controls. Obviously Sega agrees.

Also, it was not designed to simulate realistic physics but cartoonish comical graphics.  You don't need a lot of processing power for that.

How do you aim at their heads if the game does not use the IR pointer?

Well, maybe the game won't be better on PS360, but at least, it will find its public, you konw, the one playing DMC, NG, NB, GoW and such...

You don't use the pointer to aim but you swing the wiimote with a club.

Don't tell me that this doesn't "matter" for the gameplay experience and can be duplicated on a regular controller with the same feel.

You could jerk the wiimote forward and get the same effect...

I could jerk my DS3 forward and get the same effect...

Yeah no doubt it is probably cool, but nowhere does it prove that the Wii would provide a much better experience.

This thread was about the PS3/360 not being able to perform as well as the Wii for Madworld and sorry to say, but that is false.

How about this we wait for bayonetta to come out and if that bombs too than you know madworld wouldn't have done better on another console. I'm expecting it to bomb as well since clover studios now plantium games seems to be cursed.

I love fighting games !!! Come on challenge me !

That's ridiculous.

The PS3's motion is completely different than the wii's motion and much more limited.

This is like arguing that kirby could perform better on the PSP than the DS. Well it could use a d-pad, but then it wouldn't be the same game.

Meanwhile, the type of graphics Madworld uses does not take high cpu and gpu power to render. So the graphics would not be much "better" on ps3 or 360. It would be overkill if anything.

We are obviously not going to come to an agreement here but waggling the wiimote is no different from waggling the Dualshock 3. The game does not register you swinging from left to right or right to left. You get the same effect if you throw the Wiimote, drop it to the floor, move it back and forth, etc...

If it used WM+ then you would have an argument.

DS3 can do the waggle/jerking motions, I would need to jerk the DS3 forward to get my dragon to do a 180 in LAIR. Tilt it to control my aircraft in Warhawk. It can be used in the same way Mario Kart Wii is controlled as well.

I own both so I know this to be true.

I own all three consoles.

And it still isn't the same experience actually swinging a golf club or actually moving your hand in a chainsaw motion as opposed to pushing forward on a ps3 controller.

You are acting like a pure ps3 fanboy whereas i'm acting like a balaned wii and ps3 fanboy.
