Forums - Gaming Discussion - What's the most meaningful game(s) you've ever played?

Hmmm... In reverse order:

BioShock, Shadow of the Collossus, Halo, TLoZ:OoT, TLoZ. There are a few that I'm missing in there from the NES to Genesis/SNES era but I'm pretty brain dead today so I'll leave it at that.

None for me but Hotel Dusk on the DS came kind of close. It was an interesting story and played more like an interactive novel than anything else. I was kind of hoping they would do a sequel.

I hate trolls.

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

Kingdom hearts 2

No game has done that.... wait maybe LARRY I was 13 when I played that game and I felt identified with the guy.

Hotel Dusk Room 215- Beautifully well written story, one of the best I've seen in a game, period. You also become so attatched to the characters and it's great to see them develop throughout the game. Only game where I've ever came close to crying- especially at the end.

Ace Attorney series- Although I've just played the first two, the cases have developed fantastically so far and I really like how the stories can find that great edge of being funny and serious at the same time. Also supports a brilliant cast of characters and everything else naznatips said.

Wow we never knew :P

Everything that Twestern said about Final Fantasy VI.

Also what people has said about Ocarina of Time.

And here is my personal one: Silent Hill 2: Few games have made me feel the despair and fear like this game. From all the obscurity of the story, to the lonely feeling. James' despair and suffering are legendary. All his perversions, desires, fears, loves... awesome.

starcraft

I'd have to say the first few games on N64...the first games I basically played in 3D...Mario 64, Star Fox 64, Mario Kart 64...they were so great, and I played the heck out of them.

Also, the Half Life series has been good to me...story's great, and it being in first person, it really sucks you in.

There's other games that were perhaps more meaningful...I can't think of them yet.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Civilization 2 sooooo much depth

Everquest - WoW before WoW

Madden '02-'05

Same as leo-j, Kingdom Hearts 2
