@super_etecoon, be VERY careful with the black dahlia, there was a total peice of crap the went straight to dvd the same week that the real movie came out. it was filmed with a camcorder, it sucked hard, beware!!! make sure you get the right movie.
I saw that. They did the same thing with Zodiac and United 93. Clever, isn't it? Thanks for the heads up though.
I thought The Black Dahlia got horrible reviews...I didn't bother seeing it...

just checked metacritic...pretty bad indeed...oh well, it's still on my list so I will let you know what I think.
I've never once heard anyone say anything positive about The Black Dahlia. Not once.
@ Ben - I loved Eternal Sunshine, but for some reason I just came up cold on Science of Sleep. Didn't enjoy it at all... I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out why it didn't resonate with me... No luck yet.

haha, yeah, and don't forget "Snakes on a Train" yeah, no kidding, came out the same day as Snakes on a Plane.
Science of Sleep is definitely different than Eternal Sunshine.
I guess it just hit me on a more personal note...unrequited love, living in a dream world where your creative ideas are your refuge from the mundane, dull real world. I dunno.
Some movies are pure gold, some are undeniably crap...I'd say this movie is just one that's different depending on the viewer.
Also, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is great, I watched that again a few days ago with some friends.

Sheesh...this thread just doesn't stop. I keep hearing about Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and how it is a must watch. Add another to the list. It's a wonder any of us actually find the time to work.

I've seen the Holy Grail, And Now for Something Completely Different, and The Life of Brian...loved them all hehe. Holy Grail's probably gotta be my favorite, though there were certainly skits in ANFSCD that were untouchable.
