cgnobody said: i don't see the 360 taking over the wii this year at all. the invididuals who wanted a 360 have already bought it. come on two years in and all those games, i just can't seem to believe that halo 3 means that much to people who havent bought a 360 yet. but a could be wrong.
i do feel that the 360 has a chance to beat the wii next year though. seeing as i am of the opinion that after this christmas the wii will begin to decline in sales as all of their main titles would have hit shelves already. and the other two formats have many others titles waiting to be tapped.
i feel the wii will have spent itself quicker than it took for it to take off. |
Yes true, maybe all the original people who had halo do have 360s, but that is why MS is hyping it.
Again it comes down to what people hear about each console and the games it possessess
Right now people will be like
"hey this game is really really popular, maybe i should give it a try" and if they like it or also see the great library, boom potential costumer.
I think it will be a combination of former halo 2 people buying 360 for halo 3 ( i know a few friends who will) and new people the hype will draw in.
Back on topic: I see the 360 most likely outselling the wii in the US for a little bit, but def not world wide, not with japan rejecting halo. Wii has the lead for the rest of the gen in my mind
With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.
Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.
