I'm talkin about the present, not the past. I believe that GT series used to be more popular back in the days of GT3, but now the Halo series is much more poplular.

What are your thoughts on this?

Though it saddens me to say it, I'm leaning towards Halo being more popular and Halo 3 outselling GT 5.

Halo is more popular on North America, and that's it.
Gran Turismo everywhere else.

I believe that Halo is more popular in the USA. Overall however I would say that the GT series appeals to more people when factoring in all regions.

Halo certainly has the edge right now, considering how we haven't had a real GT game in so long, but it might change once GT 5 finally arrives.

We will have to wait and see for GT5, although it will be hyped massively and i expect a pricecut either before or around the release.

Halo 3 should be at 10 million before GT5 is released.

Anyway... Gran Turismo is WORLD popular... Halo is really popular only in America, and seeing that GT5:Prologue just hit 3 million at retail... its gonna be huge when the real game is released.

My money on this goes to GT.

What kind of attach rate did GT have for PS2?

Who said that GT5 will sell 15 million? And were they serious?

I'm waiting for Halo 3: ODST to come out. If it can vastly outsell Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, I'm going to go with Halo. If it's about even I'll chalk it up to both series' being about the same. If it underperforms I'll give GT5 the edge.
