Vandal Hearts returns on PSN and XBLA

Konami has announced a third installment in its Vandal Hearts strategy RPG series, which hasn't seen a new release since the days of the original PlayStation. Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgmentis being developed as a downloadable title for PSN and XBLA. 

The game serves as a prequel to the original, with Konami promising an interface overhaul for the franchise, multiple endings and CPU-controlled party members who "adapt to the player's style of gameplay." The game will hit Xbox Live arcade in August and PlayStation Network in September.

Damnit I wish it was on the PSP or DS instead.

Well I guess it will be cheaper and atleast it isn't a cellphone game.

They should call it Vandal Hearts: Aesthetic Nightmare.

I wonder if this is what became of the DS Vandal Hearts that was announced nearly 5 years ago. But yeah, doesn't look too hot so far.

Looks like ass and a terrible way to relaunch Vandal Hearts. It's like they're sweeping it under the rug.

btw this is freaking awesome! vandal hearts is one of my favorite games!
(however, I pretend that vandal hearts 2 doesn't exist...)

Day 1!

Loved VH on PS1. First introduction to SRPGs, and it was fantastic. Don't like the character artwork (not as hardcore as VH1), but must appreciate the genre!
