Sorry.

I own a PS3 and think KZ2 is just a solid FPS that brings nothing significantly new gameplay wise to the genre.

I love the 360 (I own over 500 games for mine)...

But, graphically KZ2 is the bar to which all games are measured right now...

I think that RE5 pulls off a better color palette then KZ2... For that matter I think Gears 2, and Unchartered does so as well. But when you look at the details, the smoke, explosions, the lighting and everything, KZ2 is the best there is. Graphics isn't just about the backdrops, it is about everything visual.

To me the combination of graphics, sound, and gameplay make a shooter great... KZ2 is not the best out there when all three are combined...

No doubt about 480 pirated games.

loooool, I think any that compares both games can't argue that re5 looks better than kz2. Yes its a great looking game but falls miles short of kz2 has offered.

In some ways, RE5 looks better than KZ2 from what I've seen. Especially the character models.

I also prefer the art direction of RE5, it's a bit hard to tell how much of that is helped by the tech behind it. One thing's for sure... RE5 is impressive especially for a multiplatform game.

My Mario Kart Wii friend code: 2707-1866-0957

RE5 isn't even the best looking game on the 360, that honor goes to Gears of War 2. RE5 has some of the best character models surrounded by low-res textures. It really is a mixed bag, especially for a TPS game. RE5 is a nice looking game, but there are better.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

Isn't a HDMI cable better then VGA?

My experience is that HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is better suited for movies, that's why sony touts it so much because it is suited for Blu-ray movies.

Any standard can be used for games, but I find VGA to be the best, computers use VGA, and look how beautiful PC games look, thats why I went with VGA for 360.

........and I wonder is there even a VGA cable out for the PS3? If not, PS3 owners are missing out.

Most PC gamers that I know use DVI, which is better than VGA and is equal to HDMI(I believe the only difference is HDMI supports sound and video in one cable). VGA is worse because it is Analog , and it loses some quality when converting the digitial out put of a video card to analog.  They all run at the same resolutions on consoles though so you won't notice a difference worthy enough to claim one game graphically superior to another due to cable differences.

Edit: Also PC games look "amazing" because most gaming PCs are more powerful than consoles, not because they use different cables.

Well if component was used for PC gaming I think there will be a degradation in picture quality, no?

How about I give you an example.

Crysis/Warhead, by many, is believed to be the best looking game so far, and the most technically impressive. Now lets say somebody is playing Crysis on a HDTV at 720p resolutions(we will use 720p because there aren't that many console games that do higher) at highest settings using component. Now lets say that they play a 360 that has HDMI and put in Gears of War 2.  Both games are running at the same resolution, and same TV. The only difference is that they are using two different cables, and are on different platforms. Do you think Gears of War 2 will look better than Crysis because it is using a better cable? I don't think so. Now Crysis might have lost some quality due to the component, but the quality it loses is so small it is barely noticable to most people. That is why I say the difference isn't significant enough to drastically change the way a game looks when in comparison. Remember though, this is all assuming they are running at the same resolution.

So yes you lose some picture quality, but nothing very noticable, or significant.

No No No. Res Evil 5 looks fantastic in many areas, but shoddy in others. Killzone destroys Res Evil in on screen effects such as lighting and just seems sharper and more detailed.

Also, as for Uncharted - Dude, its a very old game. Wait and see Uncharted 2, it will just beat any other game graphically imo

 Ok man

No, just no and that is absolutely pathetic considering on the screen there is nowhere near the amount of stuff going on in RE5 compared to Killzone 2. In Killzone 2 enemies rushing to you, physics and such aplenty yet in RE5 the enemies run up and then start walking, disappointing to see.

Killzone 2 is the best looking games on consoles but that is going to last for a couple more months, Uncharted 2 will murder it let alone Heavy Rain and supposedly Alan Wake. Let's not even start about GT5....

Some of the weapons look a little funky, but I've always thought that Resident Evil 5 and Killzone were essentially on the same footing. Of course if it was exclusive to either the 360 or PS3, of course it would look better then Killzone 2.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

No, KZ2 looks better and has a ton more shit on screen. I own RE5, Gears 2, Uncharted etc, and Killzone 2 is the best looking of the bunch with ease. That's not to say RE5 doesn't have great graphics because it does.
