Xbox 360 has been more successful then Playstation 3 in the last 2 years, Xbox 360 was dominating Playstation 3 in both hardware & software sales but 2009 has been dry for Xbox.

According to a series of recent reports by the research group DFC Intelligence, the game industry is poised to see enormous overall growth in 2009,DFC estimates that the videogame market will swell to $47 Billion by 2009, a 42 percent increase over the $33 billion generated by the industry in 2006. That forecast includes revenue from videogame hardware and software.

As we all know that Playstation 3’s this year exclusive line-up is great and is already helping Sony get some decent sales, But Microsoft seems to be doing nothing in order to get their share from that $47 Billion there is no exclusive that is sure to make a splash this year.

I think Microsoft is already too late even if they announce some exclusives or yet another batch of (Paid For Exclusive DLC’s) they won’t be able to release them this year, I would suggest that we should sit back and relax this year and hope that next year won’t be the same as this.

I am sure Microsoft have some aces up their sleeves but shouldn’t they be rolled out by now.

bla bla bla bla, same story year after year. let's talk from august onwards till the end of year... I don't get PS3 fanbase, hopeless!

Most of the PS3 exclusive were annouced last year....they are just good at draging hype everywhere..i mean seriosly...a halo game (or whater ODST is) is big news for the MS camp...plus it's the quite exclusive from late last year like left4dead that make the difference...PS3 dont really care about multiplayer games like 360 owners do...that's the difference...and i feel that Microsoft knows how important e3 is...so they might be waiting for that...plus that company has been focused on the XBL mor than anything since it's fan base is multi player heavy....COD:MW 2 is gonna explode on Xbox 360

Hmm if I remember correctly people were saying the same thing in early-mid 2008. Then the holiday came and MS blew Sony away.

really?? W.O.W

Yes really. Check the holiday sales.

Ummm....I thought wer talking about games here and I got a vid that would make you feel a lot better.

ENJOY!!!

We're talking sales wise here. Everyone said 360 was doomed in the first half of 2008. Then the price-cut came and the tables turned on Sony.

In someone's signature, I almost unconciously disregard most of what they say. And don't know about anyone else here, but when I see that I almost can never take that person seriously. Don't know why, its weird.

As for OT: Well, the PS3 has a great lineup this year, so in the games department the 360 is lacking for this year. But the idea that they don't have a big exclusive this year doesn't sound like Microsoft at all, and if Alan Wake and SPC release, I can see more then a 'splash' being made.

LOL i have to agree.  I would never put something like that in my sig...

Well Lost Planet 2 is so far list under Xbox360 only...most likely due to poor sales on the ps3.....so it seems to be an exclusive for 360 so far

It's funny to read this thread after reading March's NPD results.  The 360 is up YoY everywhere and you're asking when it's going to accept defeat?  Sony is currently trying to spin the sales of RE5 as a success, you know the same game where they got soundly thumped by sales of the same game on another console that has never even seen the series before

It'll be interesting to see if Sony follows the lead of Sony Ericsson, which reported a spectacular loss yesterday even after restructuring.  It seems to be mirroring Sony in losing marketshare and racking up impressive losses.

yah its a pity...if only sony could afford a ptice cut.....
