We're talking about the popularity of the franchise. The two versions of TP were released (around) the same time. If it goes on to outsell OoT, that indicates it is more popular.

Seperating multi-platform releases is more useful if we're comparing consoles in some way. You couldn't say the Madden franchise is declining because this year the PS2 and 360 will split the sales that PS2 held alone in 2003 or 2004. You could just say the PS2 is declining and 360 is gaining some of it's traditional customers.

Regardless, even the Wii version of TP alone will become the #3 all-time Zelda game, and pass the 5M mark. Combined, it should reach #2, and #1 outside Japan.

And yeah, PH would need one hell of a big reception in the States to get towards 7M. I think it will reach 5M though, which is still a historically great haul for a Zelda game.

Many LOLs for the people saying Phantom Hourglass did poorly. The game did phenomenally for a Zelda game in Japan. Why is this such a hard idea to digest for the antagonist in here?

Maybe because it didnt reached the 1 million allready like many ( me included ) expected ...

 Yeah, I think you are probably right.  But I am sure it will be the best selling portable Zelda ever in Japan.  Oh...wait.  It already is.

What did I say when it came out all that time ago? I said it won't have the big legs of the huge DS games but I got dissed and jumped on because people saw this do NSMB numbers...

It won't pass 1 million by much in its lifetime in Japan by much.
