Forums - Gaming Discussion - Tales of Vesperia PS3 to have Branching Storylines!!!

I'm pretty sure this is new info So if you check on RPGMonkey's blog he has translations of some of the new scan, they include:

Vesperia (interview with Higuchi)
-With the assumption that it might sell in addition to the 360 version, they started the PS3 version.
-They're putting in all the things that were sadly cut due to space limits.
-Depending on the player's actions, the story might branch off, and the characters that join will change?

The bolded seems really interesing, never would've expected branching storylines. I wonder how their going to implement it.

How do you think it'll work???

I can't see them taking out members of the original party, but I can't see them having a choice between getting Patty or Flynn either. I'm intruiged on how they're gonna implement the feature.

now this is what I call giving the ps3's BD a chance. a lot of space should equal a lot of features well done namco bandai, cut it from the x360 if you have to but bring it to PS cus we got the space lol

i might just buy this

Very interesting, but the question still remains when does the game come to North America, as well as if the game comes to North America.

I want it, but I still have no faith in NamcoUSA!

Well they brought Eternal Sonata over so There is some chance of it coming over, I guess we will have to wait for E3 for any announcement on it though.

My hype meter just went up 3 notches.

Mine too, I'm wondering how much the story will change depending on which path you take.

BTW story branching off has been done before in JRPG, and I think it has worked pretty well. My most memorable one was Radiata Stories.

This is also interesting. Not time or budget, but space.

Why didn't they go on multiple DVDs? If MS doesn't actually ask extra license money for multiple discs, what are the extra costs?
