Forums - Nintendo Discussion - GTTV: Reggie promises a good E3

I don't trust him.. he eats to many children in the morning for me

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I think we complained enough last year, and I think they'll bring at least one big surprise this year. I'd say we will see at least one of these games: super mario galaxy 2, pikmin 3, Zelda Wii (trailer), or a completely new awesome game by retro studios.

But remember there is still a chance for dissapointment, so be prepared.

Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.

He made similar promises last year.

That said, I'm inclined to believe him this time, because literally person from Nintendo that presented last year, from Miyamoto to Dunaway, admitted that they royally screwed the pooch. To stem a bit of the hate, Miyamoto even announced a game that he had no intention of announcing (Pikmin 3), and Dunaway... while, she told us to keep playing SSBB and Mario Kart XD.

Hopefully she's Dunaway with sooner rather than later.

(*shoots self in head for the last line XD)

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Did you know that Reggie is a father?
How freakin' awesome would it be to be the child of the President of NoA?

On topic: last E3 wasn't bad at all. It was just lackluster and didn't cater to what most internet prowlers were looking for. I thought it was quite good, actually. Cammie rocks. I don't care what anybody says. This E3 should be really good. They need to win back the hearts of the self-proclaimed "hardcore" gamers.

lol, for some reason my mind doesn't allow that picture to generate.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

Don't forget that Nintendo consider E3 a show for the casuals, not the hardcore since they pretty much know wich games will be released in the next couple of months anyway...

To the first part: Not as awesome as it would be to be the child of the god of gaming--who ALSO works for Nintendo, as a matter of fact

To the rest: I don't think any of us would have minded if they showed Wii Music, Animal Crossing (which I actually enjoyed), Wii Sports Resort, AND something cool for us gamers like Red Steel 2 or a couple smaller games like Punch-Out!! and Excitebots.  I don't think many of us are against them showing that side of their software lineup, but we'd appreciate if they showed their longtime fans some love, too.

In an interview with Reggie at GDC09, Geoff Keighley, the host of GTTV asked Reggie about E3 at the end of the interview.

GK: "We will see you again, I guess at E3?"

Reggie: "You certainly will."

GK: "Will you bring the heat?"

Reggie: "Absolutely... And all of your fans will love it, we can guarantee that."

So I'm giving this man a chance, now I'm more positive about E3, the way he said it made it look very confident and alert of the current situation with the core Nintendo fans. I won't jump on the hype train, but I'm eagerly awaiting the show now. Let's hope that what happened to Nintendo since last E3 was just a low, that they have worked hard to leave behind and that the Nintendo we love comes back stronger than ever.

I've already bought tickets! :3

I'm being as low-key about this as possible. I'm going in with zero hype or expectations.
