the nunchuck has to be attached to a wii remote, so those two players have to sit very close to each other, boyfriend girlfriend kinda stuff :D

guess Speedzone developers had some orgies in mind when they were making this game. now i'm sure - WII>>>PS360 cause nothing is better then orgy

Is it me or is that the batmobile in the begining of the video? (the silver car)

Not much to look at graphically (but that could change) but looks like fun.

If the cars are all one solid color (even the windshield and tires), it is obvious the game isn't done yet. I figured that was common knowledge.

As long as the gameplay is fluid, they can fix the graphics in a sequel. A working GAME is more important than anything else.

to people who still don't get it: 8 player splitscreen works only with for wiimotes with nunchucks - 4 people are driving with wiimotes and 4 people are driving with nunchucks.

So instead of letting 8 wii's be hooked up via lan they choose to allow 8 people to share 4 wii mote/nunchuck?!  That is a awful idea, why not allow four players to share one tv and four other players to share another tv over lan?  Or better yet set everyone up over the nintendos wifi service and allow eight people to compete with leaderboards and stat tracking like most modern racers have for the past two generations.  I love nintendo, but sometimes they miss the forest for the trees.

Oh.  I was thinking 4 Gamecube controllers and 4 wiimotes.

Looks pretty nice for an alpha video.

But I don't get this 8 player thing, 4 wiimotes and 4 nunchucks?

Yeah that was what I was thinking!

So you connect the nunchuck to the Wii mote but still give it to the other person *_?

Yes.  This worked for Bust-A-Move on the Wii and it was total insanity.  8 players in the same room beats any amount of players online.

The more options the better, so splitscreen, LAN, and online would all be great.

But to be honest, I used to rock the 8 player Mario Kart Double Dash, and it was a huge hassle to get together 8 people, 2 GC's, 2 games, 8 controllers, 2 TV's, 2 GC connecting adapters, and 1 cable.  With the Wii you'd need to hook up 2 sensor bars to 2 TVs and need 2 copies of the game.  At least with this, the people who aren't LAN-savvy can still rock 8 players with 1 TV, 1 sensor bar, 4 controllers, and only 1 copy of the game.  But I agree with you and they should include as many options as possible.  I know my TV is big enough to handle 8 players, so I'll be keeping my eye on this.

i love me some tesla gun :>

Twisted Metal rocked back in the day for PS1, I had all the games. I hope we can get a game in the same vein and this looks quite like it. A few graphical improvements and a budget price can be enough for me.
