Yeah that was what I was thinking! So you connect the nunchuck to the Wii mote but still give it to the other person *_?

Or maybe it's 4 Wiimotes and 4 GameCube controllers. Or... something.

What axumblade said. Since I already have Wipeout HD and Mario Kart Wii, though, I'm not thinking about purchasing it.
This is a game Wii-only games should get excited about. They game may end up being much better than Speed Racer which was a good Wii game.

I have a question about this, how does the wii which supports only four inputs allow 8 people to play locally? It maybe 4 player split screen and eight players over nintendo's network. Otherwise this game cannot possibly be labeled correctly.
This game is obviously in the early building stages, but it looks OK, and the music is great.
Wii owners have taken very kindly to racing games too, so this should do great!

this could be fun.
to people who still don't get it: 8 player splitscreen works only with for wiimotes with nunchucks - 4 people are driving with wiimotes and 4 people are driving with nunchucks.
How does a nunchuck work if it isn't attached to a wii mote?

the nunchuck has to be attached to a wii remote, so those two players have to sit very close to each other, boyfriend girlfriend kinda stuff :D
