Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Does it anger you when people say their Wii is collecting dust?

Actually on a serious note my 360 is only about 6 months old but hasn't been touched for like 4 months now. I think I better switch it on cause it may have gathered something worse than dust. How long do electronics have to be idle before they are at risk of developing a fault?

Yeah, it does, but what can you do? Some people consume games faster than they arrive on the Wii, some don't care for what Wii has to offer, and some can't find the replay value in what they have. Can't change that, just like i can't change the fact that it bugs me. It bugs me because of how they use the statement, as its generally applied to talk about why Nintendo sucks so much now, is used by those who try to assert personal opinion as fact.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

While I am enjoying my Wii, they can complain all they want about how they aren't using it.

Doesn't affect me in the least bit. Their loss.

Why would it anger anyone? Some people like collecting cards, and some like stamps etc. So what if the wii likes to collect dust?

One, is free to do what they wish with their property.

hell, I got a free wii and I haven't even bothered unpacking it from it's box, one could say that it's the box collecting dust and not my wii.

Why don't you sell it then? You could sell it for 230 dollars easily if you haven't even opened the box. Just give them the warranty ticket as well. You could use the money to buy games for your ps3/xbox360(you clearly have another console or you wouldn't be on this forum)

well, what people do or don't do with their Wii's are they're own business. Whether someone decides to use a videogame system is of no concern of mine.

but what DOES annoy me is it seems that i cant read an article or a message board thread without some jobber telling some story about his or her Wii collecting dust.

I get it, you don't play your wii... i really don't care. If you don't like the Wii, dont read Wii articles or post in Wii threads. Problem solved.

F@ck Ubisoft and their commitment to Wii shovelware.

You should not let it bother you. It is not your fault people turn a blind eye to lots of good games on every console.

To tell you the truth I could give two shits what other people do with their Wii's.

I play my Wii daily, Wii Fit in the morning then atleast 1 other game some time during the day (and most of the time I find time to get a few matches of Brawl in). I've put about 2000 Hours on my Wii since I bought it (11/19/06), so much that the HDD went out last fall and Nintendo had to replace it.

Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.
