The recent story on Kotaku regarding the percentage of "good games" on the Wii in relation to other consoles made me interested to see how the DS would fare if compared the same way. While I don't have time to figure out the percentages, one thing struck me as odd:

Despite the large number of quality DS titles, only five managed to score a 90 or above.

With this in mind, why isn't there as big of a backlash with the DS as the Wii? Why does it never get called out for "not having good games"?

Because PSP has even less.

Portable games generally get lower scores.

That and nobody wants to be the one to claim, in a large and visible way, that the DS doesn't have enough good games.

For me, a lot of DS games could have more than 90%.

For once I agree with you. No system can ever have "enough" good games. There's always room for more!
