Don't get me wrong here, I love both Achievements and Trophies, but I also find it quite annoying that the message "Achievement Unlocked" can pop up in the middle of some tense scene in a game. On the 360 I have turned this off, but I haven't found any alternative in the PS3 menu to do the same. Is there an option do so and where do I fint it?

I don't think there is a way to turn this feature off but i have never come across a situation in game that it really gets in the way, no more than any of the other pop-up's that happen while in game, such as messages and people signing in!

Maybe you should pitch this idea to Sony for a future FW update?

Yes there is, there is an option under settings to turn Notifications off. it been around for awhile

I have never had it bother me in a game since it's in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Nothing is usually happening up there anyways.

Same here. The achievement unlocked can be a little more intrusive.

Ya I can see how the achievement unlocked could actually get in the way. The trophy unlocked message isn't even that big either.

It's gotten me killed several times in SSHD when I first got it lol. Now it's not much of an issue as I got most of the achievements unlocked, except that pesky 10x arcade :(

i love the sound when i earn a trophy, i would also love the sound of the achievement unlocked- but its the same sound as when a friend goes online.

I think it'll be nice feature for an update, but at the same time it'll be pretty annoying having to constantly switch it on and off. I think it's unnecessary for the most part, especially for PS3 exclusive games, because game developers are starting to put those trophy messages during the subsequent load screen and after the credits.
