Forums - Nintendo Discussion - should rareware return as a nintendo developer?

we remember the prestige rareware had , when they were a nintendo devellper, some games just never be forgotten, like donkey kong country 1.2.3 , goldeney, perfect dark, jet force gemini...........and may be the last game on gamecube starfox adventure (good sell, one of the best gamecube graphics ).

since they become microsoft develloper, they just lost their prestige, and i see them like any small develloper , rare are not like what they were in the past, may be a comeback to nintendo , will bring them to the top like in the past.

No. Nintendo dropped them because they were slipping. They won't magically get better if Nintendo buy them back.

i would like them back, but rare coming back to nintendo won't make them better, because most of the good people left around the time they were finishing up conker's bad fur day.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=47568

Yeah when rare were sold quite a few of their top designers left.. It won't magically make them what they were in the N64 days..

Plus Microsoft aren't gonna sell them and Nintendo certainly won't be buying them back

True, Nintendo being back with Rare won't make them better, but Rare should still be a Nintendo dev regardless. They started with nintendo, and dammit, they should end with Nintendo.

I'm planning on starting a boycott of Rare as a means of convincing Microsoft to give them back. I actually go so far as to go to local games stores and hide Rareware games to prevent people from buying them. Soon I'm going to start a letter-writing campaign with the intention of pestering Microsoft and Nintendo into into going back to the way things used to be.

Oh, and puffy, your comment that "Microsoft aren't gonna sell them and Nintendo certainly won't be buying them back" is bullshit. I will fucking resort to terrorism before I give up on Rare being sold back to Nintendo. BURN MICROSOFT!

oh wow, have you seen a psychologist

Dont start a boycott.

OT:MS didnt fuck up RARE. RARE fucked themselves. Sure being back with Nintendo wouldnt bring there quality back but the IP would be back on a Nintendo system. Nintendo could develop or co-develop a game with them. Banjo and Conker come to mind. But *sigh* its just not gonna happen.

Banjo: N&B can rot in hell. Im still waiting for Banjo Kazooie 3.

Dude I worked for a few game stores and all of them reorganize the stock and make sure one of every available game is on display you won't have any luck. BTW I have every Rare game on Xbox 360 :) I bet you love that huh. Seriously though Microsoft won't be selling Rare anytime soon so you going to be putting up a tiresome and useless fight for quite some time. Rare makes some great games but Nintendo is fine without them and Microsoft is doing fine with them. Sorta like the circle of life things will go on no matter what. At least Microsoft lets Rare make DS games so maybe you should be thankful somewhat.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

They aren't bad because they're developing for MS. They're bad because they lost the majority of their good employees. Them coming back to Nintendo wouldn't make them produce games of the quality they were back in the N64 days
