Forums - Gaming Discussion - Bandwidth caps. problem for gamers?

http://www.gamerswithjobs.com/node/44497

I will admit i don't know much about bandwidth or how much i use.  I do know that i live in a house with 3 World of Warcraft players and 2 people who use live alot and netflix.

I was thinking two things...

1) Will limits on bandwidth affect people who play games online?

2) Does anyone have more information about bandwidth they could share? such as how much going to websites uses? How much xbox live uses if you play for an hour? How long world of warcraft uses for an hour session? etc.

Any input would be great because well this could get expensive.

o right and people who already have limits talk about how that affects your gaming but try to say what the gaming and internet usage of everyone in the household is.

K thanks

Around the Network

I'm torn on this. I wouldn't mind paying per GB if:

1) It was a fair price per unit
2) I didn't have to pay a monthly fee just to have the service in the first place.

The problem is that the prices are never fair and/or there's always some types of fees.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

And people made fun of Comcast for its 250G data cap.

The biggest point the article makes is the need for competition. We need that or better regulation -- and I would prefer to let the market handle things first before having to resort to government.

(I am not anti-government. After all, it does everything that the private sector can't handle. But if there are non-governmental options, those are best for all.)

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I always look for a woman who has a tattoo. I see a woman with a tattoo, and I’m thinking, okay, here’s a gal who’s capable of making a decision she’ll regret in the future.
