If games like FF stay with the PS3 and other series stay with the 360 would you buy the other systems to play these games or just stay with the wii even if the third parties don't pay attention to it like they did with the GC. |
I have a Wii, and I may or may not buy an Xbox 360. I haven't bought one yet because it's too expensive, and because of the RROD problem. I was unlucky enough to have the graphics memory on my Wii start failing, and I don't want to buy another system that is likely to have problems; I'll wait until the price drops more and the "falcon" units have been out for a while to make sure they've gotten it straight.
Final Fantasy hasn't interested me much since it went big-budget, so it's no reason for me to buy a PS3. I don't think the PS3 will ever have enough good games that I want, and I don't think it will ever be cheap enough until the PS4 is already out. Gran Turismo 3 convinced me to buy a PS2 (after the price had come down), but GT5 is not "better enough" than GT3 or GT4 to get me to spend that much money.
I still may end up not getting a 360 if I have enough games that interest me on the Wii and PC. The second half of this year is crazy for me with MP3, Galaxy, Brawl, Team Fortress 2, Portal, HL2 Episodes 1&2 (haven't played EP1 yet), and Guitar Hero 3. I was very satisfied having 20 games for my Gamecube and never felt that it was lacking good games. 12 out of the 20 games I own are Nintendo-published. That's more than two games a year that Nintendo puts out that I want, so third parties don't need to throw their whole weight behind the system. So far, Nintendo is putting out more titles that I want for the Wii than they put out for the Gamecube.
