Details:
Fullmetal Alchemist - Brotherhood is a brand new animated series based on the popular manga of the same title. It is a reboot of the previous animated series, aiming to follow the original manga's storyline more closely. As the manga is expected to end within a year, the anime series aims to conclude as close to the end of the manga's serialization run as possible. While it will be more of a manga adaptation than the previous series, it should be noted that there will still be original material exclusive to the anime to keep events fresh for at least the first part of the series. For example, the anime original character Isaac is created and designed by the manga author herself, based on a specific request from the anime director.

I'm not sure yet if I'm going to watch it, really depends how much changes early on. I know that the previous anime veered from the manga storyline as most do, but I think it was slightly later on so I'll be rewatching a good amount of it at the beginning.

Yea. Im not quite sure what a 'reboot' means. Will this be a direct sequel? Or will they just play the same story over again with awesome visuals and a different second half to the anime? Does anyone know?

The main problem I had with FMA was the endings(both the series and movie ones). Hopefully if it is a re-imagination they end it better, and if it is a sequel they end that better. Either way I'll watch it.

@Soriku I actually expect a second season of soul eater, despite the main villains(Asura, Medusa, Arachne) being killed off. It finished up all loose ends though, and I would prefer for it to not have a second season.

@sc Torillian and I believe itll start off with the same rough storyline but will stay more true to the manga storyline instead of veering off the way it did in the first season of the anime.

@Soriku The FMA anime is still going on in Japan but will most likely end this year.

Havent read it.  But lets not spoil it here because it'll most likely be the storyline of this new anime =D
