Sure Pup, go wrap yourself in a towel and take a couple of weeks off while your iddle Gold suscription expires. Oh, and I mean it about the towel, your 3 lights are showing. lol. Nice talking to you!

So far, having read all the posts one can conclude that no one is really threatened by the PS3. The message boards are just filled by PS3 owners telling other console owners that they should be threatened!!!

^ The PS3 has already dropped $200 in price in 2 and ½ years.

The X360 has dropped its price by only $100 in 3 and ½ years. That's strength. Extremely strong the Xbox is this gen.

What? There was only a $100 price drop for the ps3. Get your facts straight.

 On my continent u could only buy €600 PS3 in the first year but now U can only buy a €400 PS3. So €200 drop in price. And €200 is at least $200.

Pretty much.

Besides, considering the amount of time people like the OP spend on the Microsoft forum trying to convince the locals the ps3 is better or rather outright trolling I'd say it's the ps3 owners that feel threatened.

Which is logical once you realize it's the console that they own that's sitting at the end of the worldwide chart every week.

Ok, I wasn't fair: sometimes it's gets to be second to last, when it trades places with the psp.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

Consider this warning one: You can argue with people, you can joke with people, but if you really don't have anything to add to the thread don't bother posting.

Just let them rot in hatred my friend.

The truth I found is this, or at least the way I LIKE to explain it:

Many people hate the PS3 'cause it's not PS2. Many of the haters are people who were actually "fond" of the PS brand and many of them even loved their PS1/2. However, not many of them were able to afford the PS3 and they hate Sony for that. Some bunch of these now turned haters did buy the PS3, but hated it after a short while since its first year it had close to no games and the world had been caught up on this "Live" thing.

Sony just didn't deliver in time and to the expectations of these people. And most of them had to turn to Microsoft, and these so-called "Xbots" won't say it, but underneath their most wretched hate for the Sony system lies the HATRED for their OWN 360. Lol, yeah this is crazy, but they actually also hate Sony 'cause they had to content with this RRODing, disc-scratching, online-taxing machine.

Many of these haters loved blindly their previous PS systems. Don't let any of them hypocites tell you otherwise, If they owned a PS system they certainly LOVED it.

Then there's the little bunch who never bought/owned a PlayStation. Nevermind about them, those are not (or were not) gamers (or were not on this Earth at the time), one or the other, there's no other explanation.

Now the haters profess this love for the 360 and like to call Sony names like "liars and arrogant" when the MS executives never had the ballz to pull out their ridiculously deffective garbage off the shelves and make gamers run chores with their consoles like pampering it with towels and singing lulabies to it. Sending it every off week for repairs and paying a service if just to play a game mode included in one of your games just for once. Seriously, I would hate Sony too I'd have to put up with THAT just because that arrogant Sony mess it up.

So I say to you, pay no attention, these people are RRODing inside.

I bought and owned a PS1 for 8 months or so and I was one of the first people to buy one right when it came out.  Guess what???  It overheated like most of the first generation PS1 right after the warranty ran out (think it was only 6 month warranty back then).   That is why I dislike Sony and that is why I will never buy another Sony product again.  PS2 probably sold so many from rebuys since so many people had to rebuy another system due to it being defective.  There are some that claim to have never had any problems with PS2 but there are plenty that had many defective systems (2-3+).  My hatred toward Sony might be a little over the top but when they implied to me while on the phone with them about the PS1 that it was my fault that I played it on carpet (which the carpet was barely any shag carpet but very small almost like a wood floor) was the reason that it had overheating issues (the vents were never blocked) was the last straw.  Also, GoldenEye was released around this time and I then switched to N64.  I did get another PS1 (I sent back the first PS1 and paid the $75 for a new one, the 2nd generation one) but I eventually sold it.  Their customer service is what lost me for good.  To imply people that simply didn't own a PS1 or PS2 as non gamers is probably the worse statement I have seen in awhile (besides most of BTFeather55's arguements).

@GerGory and Jaderyu,

For all this talk about how illogical and crazy my conclusions and arguments are, I think what I have basically said in this thread is that after Final Fantasy XIII, Versus XIII, and Gran Turismo 5 are released in Japan during this holiday season, the PS3, going by the way past games in these series have sold on past consoles in Japan, then the PS3 will be getting a big boost over there from these games, and this boost will increase the PS3's lead over the 360 over thereto a point where many more Japanese development studios won't be so inclined to bring exclusive jrpgs to the 360 in that region as they did in much of 2008 especially when these games on the 360 aren't selling well in the West (Tales of Vesperia sold so well in the US that it was discontinued) and are already selling horribly in Japan in comparison to how they sell on the PS3 .

A few months ago, I remember people throwing around terms like "He's delusional for saying Tales of Vesperia and Ninja Gaiden II will ever appear on the PS3."

Well, have you read the gaming news lately?

now you are saying all three of them will be released during this holiday season in Japan? I'm gonna use what you said to others in your other thread.

But I suppose you can:

Besides, I love how you compare PSP's sale to Wii in Japan while not comparing PSP to DS or PS3 to Wii. Great job!

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

@sethnintendo

Of course you wouldn't like that comment. It was intended for gamers. Seriously though, jokes aside, you have a very valid point. Although that's a small point in the grand scheme of things and it's certainly part of a little minority of gamers.

     I've compared PS3's sales to the Wii (it has been beating Nintendo's Wii the last five weeks) and I've also pointed out that it's no big deal for the PSP to post better sales in any given week  than the DS in Japan.  As a matter of fact it's pretty much been a given to expect the PSP to beat the DS in Japan.

     I will admit that I was too lazy to go back and edit that post to put FFXIII as pretty much a Summer 2010 exclusive for the PS3 in Japan.  However, by the time it arrives in the Summer of 2010, the PS3 will be at 6 or 7 million PS3's sold in Japan while the 360 probably won't have passed 1,350,000 consoles sold in Japan by that date.

     And did you even listen to the words of the song, I think that "you've got to lose to know to win' describes where  Sony is at in this gen pretty well.  And they're going to know how to win enough to finish second among all consoles and first among the hd consoles by the time this gen is over.

1. Wii has sold more units than PS3 in Japan so far this year even though PS3 has been beating Wii the last 5 weeks. The gap of the 2 consoles is 4.95 millions.

2. The only time this year PSP sold more than DSi was the two weeks when the new PSP colors were released. However, I would agree that it is a given and not a big deal for PSP to outsell DS every week.

3. Now you are saying FFXIII will be released in Summer 2010. So when are FFXIII Versus and GT5 going to be released in Japan?
