Make a list of the great exclusives that are out right now on the Wii that you'd like to play, then make a list of the great exclusives that are out on a PS3 that you want to play. If the Wii list is greater than the PS3 list, go for the Wii.

From my experience I'd recommend trying Excite Truck (which is awesome!) and Godfather on the Wii (the control *makes* that game -- once you start throwing people around with the wiimote + nunchuck, you'll understand).

You've been saying this for nearly a year.  The Wii has good games right now in addition to some upcoming titles that are far closer to surefire hits than anything coming out for the PS3 -- what does the PS3 have that is as surefire as Super Mario Galaxy?  A month ago you would have told me Lair.

It's "fans", not "fanboys".

I say: Heavily depends on the games you wanna play. If you don't really care about Nintendo's first party lineup, there's not too much else on the Wii so far. If you're looking for shooters, there will always be more on the 360 (and the PS3 too, probably). I wouldn't bet on MGS or RE5 or GTA ever coming to Wii. The lineups are very different, so it's very easy, actually:

Gotta have Mario, Metroid, Mario Kart, Zelda, other Nintendo exclusives? (Maybe you even fancy some Wii Sports or Wii Fit?) Get a Wii.

Can't live without MGS, GTA, Halo, Killzone, Resistance, Warhawk, Gears of War, God of War,... - get a PS3 or 360. 

 

Leo-j, why should I try to talk somebody into a Wii when it's obvious he doesn't want one? The Wii is not for everyone. I couldn't care less for 90% of the PS3/X360 lineup. You couldn't care less for 90% of the Wii lineup. It's called TASTE.

I would go with the Wii because of the cost value. The controllers may be priced slightly higher than those of the PS3 and XBOX 360 but in the end, you'll have lots of fun and it's an all around great system.

If you can afford it, get a Wii60. I'd love to have all three next generation consoles but I can only afford one so I went with the Wii.

What part of typing on the Wii necessitates caps lock?  It's been a while since I used the Internet channel but I'm quite sure that your answer makes no sense.

I Agree with people who say, buy a Wii now, borrow games from your uncle, and buy a ps3 later
