Well, hopefully the 360 version will be alot crappier. That way we will see the end of microsofts devilish exclusive buyouts which they don`t earn a penny on doing. NO THEY DON`T, EVEN IN LONG TERM.

I seriously doubt that the game will use the full 100% of the consoles power... I mean what is this 100% they are talking about? It is only what the coding they are using at the moment is managing to get out of the hardware... Not that the system will never have better looking/playing games!

I remember when some PS2 games were stated as using 100% of the consoles power, only for the years to roll by with better and better looking games coming along! This is only used as a ploy to generate hype for the game and, in my opinion, it seems rather desperate of SE, given their most recent games being mediocre at best (based on reviews and not personal experience) they are trying to claw back some of their reputation as pushers of the RPG genre!

I doubt ffxiii or any other 3rd party game can look better/use more power than killzone 2...we'll see

          Wow dude......just wow, I actually had to read what you posted like 3 times to actually believe you would type such a crazy rant........bravo. You act as if no other company has purchased exclusive rights to a game to make a profit, or sway individuals to choose a specific console. Here's a secret, they all do it.......especially Sony during the PS1/PS2 eras. I don't fault them for it, hell, I had both consoles and loved them. If I wanted to play those "devilish exclusive buyouts", I had to get a PS1 or PS2, and that is just what I did. Just like I don't fault MS for buying exclusives, because, as the owner of a 360, I enjoy playing the hell out to them.

On topic, I personally think both versions will be almost identical in every aspect aside from disk storage space. But we will have to wait and see. 100% power this early in the PS3 generation.......pffft, I call bogus.

This seems like an overenthusiastic PR statement from SE.

While it could mean they're utilizing all SPEs, it does seem odd, given that AI and physics really aren't used heavily in turn based RPGs.

Of course, I'm assuming FFXIII is going to be using the same formula we've essentially been seeing since FFVII with the addition of high res visuals and tweaks/reworkings to the combat system.

Anyway, it's extremely safe to say that results for a "100%" utilization will vary considerably between the release of FFXIII and future high budget, high profile releases. Meaning, the ceiling keeps moving in the console market as far as software results go.
