i completely disagree. I think WoW is successful because of its interface to the general consumer....all of the user mods enhanced it but if blizz listened to the community and is implementing what works why would that be bad?

i love it, now they just need to start expanding into the idea of making the interface work on consoles and ill orgasm.

from what I recall, in diablo you use the mouse to move and do actions.... in WOW, you use the mouse to look... the two games are different and thus the interface should not be the same.

this is not a MMO, it's dumb to have skill trees where you won't use 3/4 of the skills because you have limited points.... what if every character rocks? it's not about PVP balance so there is no problem with you kicking ass... monsters can be boosted health wise.

I haven't played any Diablo game but I did play WoW...

...i LOVE the skill trees in Wow so much more than games that just let you get everything.  I swear I spent more time plotting statagies on how to set up my skill tree and testing those stratagies out then I did on any other aspect of the game.

oh, and for how much the hardcorez talk about wanting challenging games I find it very odd anyone would whine about not being able to be overpowered.

Wow, I quit WoW because I got tired of Blizz care bearing it up. Now Diablo III is basically a replica of WoW in a Top View, it's horrid shit.

Diablo 2 was amazing in all it's glory, now it's stripped away all because of WoW's success.

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

I'll wait til I've played the game before I judge it. That said yeah I'm with you I don't like some of the changes that Blizzard has done to Diablo III but like I said I'll wait til I've played it before I judge it.

Meh. Still getting it. Don't give a shit as long as I can do some hack n' slash. Bitching won't change a thing, though there isn't much for me to bitch about in the first place.

I love Diablo I and Diablo II. I think the game is going to play similar to those. One of the biggest issues with Diablo IMHO has been with the health pots.  Especially when you get to the Hell level of difficulty in some of the high level dungeons.  The health pots add to the frustration with their lack of responsiveness.

People talk about the PVP in Diablo but IMHO the PVP has always been shallow and lame in the game. Between the lag, how fast / how slow you hit. PVP with one hit kills is pretty lame IMHO and always has been.

While I don't want Diablo 3 to become WoW. It would benefit to pick up a few select attributes from WoW. While maintaining it's point and click, hack and slash, fast paced, and challenging nature to it.

Wow stole a lot from Diablo 2, it's no surprise Diablo 3 in turn starts stealing from Wow...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

I don't play WoW, so I don't know what you're talking about.

I've read some of the changes they're making and nothing sounds all that terrible.

Regarding the Skill Tree... I don't know anyone who used spammed all their points into everything in the previous Diablo games. You have a limited number of points that you carefully allocate. If I can stream-line my selection even more to max out stats that are important to me - I'm all for it.

Unfortunately, Blizz has sucked me into getting Diablo III, so I plan on getting it as well.  I just really hope I'm not let down, I really hope it is a lot like Diablo II just different style and texture.

Who give's a crap?
If your a hardcore Diablo fan, like I am, you will get this game.
Cmon guys, I would want for it to be like Diablo 2 as much as you guys, but they have to move on, this is no expansion, it's a whole new game.. With a new development team.
It doesn't look like WoW, it has some features WoW has, so what? Diablo is an RPG, and will stay like that, WoW is a MMO, and it will stay like that.
Your bashing a game on how it uses fury instead of mana, it's a good move, because casters should have mana, not barbarians.
Skill tree's? Theres skill tree's in Diablo 2, why are you complaining?
And the inventory, I don't see anything wrong with it, like I said, its a whole new game.
The health orbs, I don't really care about it, as long as I gain health some way.
I know I will be getting this game day one, no matter WHAT.
And I know that there is millions of people out there like me, that can't wait to get their hands on this game.

Diablo = Diablo... WoW = WoW.

Stop comparing the two.

Even beyond that,  anyone that can't admit the amount of frustration that can be associated with playing on Hell difficulty in very difficult dungeons and dying simply because the game is too buggy to handle it.  Health pots not working how they should, etc.  (In before, your just not good at the game, etc) Anyone who has played D2 can attest to this being an annoyance.

I want a total challenge with Diablo 3 (Like D1/D2 could provide on the hardest modes),  But I want the game to be a lot less buggy and more 'complete'.
