Forums - Microsoft Discussion - In Fable 2 does your game "End" when you finish the main quest?

I just had a quick Fable 2 question. When you finish the main quest does your game just end, or can you keep playing it after? (e.g. do sub-quests, jobs, etc.)

*possible spoilers*

I'm asking because I just finished the Reaver quest where he asks you to take the dark seal in to be exchanged for his youth. Anyway, when I left the place and I was coming back into Bloodstone, Theresa's voice said that from here on out you won't be able to do any other quests, just the main quest(or something to that effect).

Anyway, I still haven't finished my sub-quests, the demon doors, gargoyle's, etc., so I was wondering if I finished the main quest would I be able to do the sub-quests and other stuff afterwards? or does the game just end and you can't continue playing as your character? I'd like to finish the main quest and then afterwards just take my time with the other stuff if that's possible.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It sorta ended for me. I quit playing. But no, there's still tons to do.

Nope it doesn't end. Have fun playing !!!

sadly no it doesnt, i made a choice based on thinking it would end but it didnt so ate tons of pies, killed the men, married the rest and then sold it

No it doesn't end...you can play the game until the end of time.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Sweet, I'm glad I can continue on afterwards. I've only gotten like half of the achievements so far(though I did finish off the Knothole Island DLC already.)

Thanks for all the replies!

@Demoki: wow, that's a pretty crazy story, hehe. I don't think I've eaten any pies even though I have a lot of them. Oh and I only have 1 wife (actually, my second wife as the first one I sacrificed to get the Maelstrom sword, which I don't even use, heh!)

You are free to do whatever quests you want to do and there are a few quests that only becomes available after the main story ends.

One of which by the way, will let you make another critical choice about your character. Have fun =)

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

yeah, like others have said, you can continue after the story ending, and that's the beauty of it.

And the khothole island add-on/expansion lets you get the best ending to the game, if you chose to pick the needs of the many.
